Daytona 24 Hours Jan 31/ Feb 1 - 1970

Trevor Graham Racing entered Piers Forrester & Andrew Hedges into the Daytona 24 Hours and the Sebring 12 Hours driving GT40 #1010
My dad, Peter Sands, was part owner of the car. I have recently recovered these slides from the Daytona race
Martin Spetz was kind enough to scan and clean the images for me and has done a wonderful job
The car is still in existence, currently owned by no less than Adrian Newey, and an article on it in it's currrent guise (back to it's original Essex Wire livery), written by renowned motorsports author Ed McDonough, appears in the August 2003 issue of Vintage Racecar Journal

UPDATE: Ed McDonough re-wrote the article mentioned above for the Italian language magazine Autocollezioni (it also had an English text) and included additional info about Daytona and a couple of the photo''s featured here
